Time for another bewitched trip in to the dark alcoholism… My quest continues with this unassuming red blend from the Cline Vineyard in California. It’s time for a little BLACK MAGIC from their Cashmere collection.
Clearly I love the name and that’s why I bought it. This will actually be the first wine on the repository over $15… so classy I’ve become in my journey. I was quite surprised that I haven’t come across this Gothic wine yet, but I typically shop on the lower shelves so maybe not so surprising after all.
This is a very nice and spicy wine. It drinks extremely dark and dry with flavors ranging from deep plumb to even a bit of cranberry- which is odd but nicely done here. It lives up to it’s name and I find it to be a very seductive and spellbinding red blend.
Besides just the name this is actually a fairly Gothic wine, and easy enough to drink. I would buy this again and recommend rounding up your witch cohorts for quite a few more bottles of this dark and deep find. *Look on the upper shelves of your local grocery store. Dreary and drunken – Wino
