Oh delightful.. yet another wine under $15 to cleanse the day of sin. Here we stand before us with the Ravage Cabernet Sauvignon. I was going to paint pictures of hell hounds, but I know you all depend on my pallet. We drink.
This bottle is mid evil and we definitely like that. When I say we I mean the cat and I, because I do not require human companionship. The label depicts a knight literally dying, shame. Perhaps his sacrifice was for nothing. The cork is decent, but only for not breaking on the way out of the bottle. I do hate when that happens…
Other than the fact that this wine is from California, where there is far too much sunshine, it is quite nice. Its very rich and inviting on the first sip, but a bit sweet for my taste. Never the less, some others I’m sure would enjoy the fine balance of mocha, berries, and hints of vanilla. I’d recommend this with a bloody steak or midnight BBQ of grilled dead animals.
I shall reward this wine three points. Its very drinkable, but not all night. The sweetness lost my interest quickly. Less berries, more blood. Good night. -Wino
